in which the cats are like tornados

I don't know that either of us were prepared for the amount of things the tiny (together they weigh 3 pounds) kittens would be able to destroy in just two months:

- Three newspapers
- Pokemon cards
- A homemade Valentine card
- Two cardboard boxes
- Four empty food bags

the cats

A week before Christmas 2010, Ham and I adopted a pair of one month old feral orphan kitties.

Bentley: She is a long-haired tuxedo kitten. Also answers to Tuk Tuk, Butthead, Banjo, Bendy/Bundy. I desperately wanted a tuxedo kitty so I was thrilled to find her.  Definitely the more outgoing of the two. She is the leader. Has a thing for electronics (cell phones, laptops, the TV, cables) and Pokemon cards.

Kyo: Short-haired orange tabby. Looks like a creamsicle. I was never allowed to have an orange cat as a child (because my mom knew an orange cat who used to climb in her window and pee on her bed when she was younger) so having Kyo feels dangerous and wrong. Answers to: Kiki, Gyuunyuu (Japanese for milk). Kyo is super shy. He will only approach us while we are drifting into sleep and are at our most vulnerable. This is terrifying.
